Safari Lodge One professionally-guided Big 5 vehicle safaris (included in the room rates) each day will keep you in awe of the splendid natural beauty of the Black Rhino Reserve and the Pilanesberg National Park. Elephants, rhinos, lions, leopards, buffalo, wild dogs, kudus, wildebeest, warthogs and spring hares are but a few of the more commonly seen animals. Walking safaris are
available. The walk focuses on
locating and observing the inhabitants of the Black Rhino Game Reserve
from a different angle - on foot. Guests are accompanied by a qualified
guide who will share his/her extensive knowledge and experience on both
fauna and flora. Excursions depart in the early morning, or early
afternoon.. Valley of Waves at Sun City: Fun, fun, fun for the
whole family! The Valley of Waves at Sun City is the most advanced
Water Park in South Africa and provides hours of entertainment beneath
the warm South African sun. The Roaring Lagoon is the centre of the
park - and a regular 1.2 metre wave is generated and crashes on the
white sandy beach. Surrounding the lagoon a meandering river allows for
a wonderful scenic tube-ride and, for adrenaline seekers there are five
exhilarating water-rides to choose from including the Temple of
Courage. Golf: Sun City can lay claim to having two of the best
golf courses in Africa. Both courses were designed by well-known Gary
Player and offer challenging courses in extremely scenic surroundings.
The Lost City Golf Course is a unique experience and offers spectacular
views across the bushveld. Also to be noted is the use of bunkers and
extensive water features - and at the 13th hole 38 crocodiles await.
The par 72 course at the Gary Player Country Club is home to the annual
Nedbank Golf Challenge and the tree lined course is a challenge to both
novices and professionals. The pro-shop, putting green and health spa
are open 7-days a week. Quad biking, clay pigeon shooting and archery: only
35km from the lodge in the Sun City complex, go and search for
adventure and wildlife on a four-wheeler, encountering natural
obstacles on the trail. Or blast away at clays with a 12-gauge shotgun!
Or try your hand at the ancient sport of archery with modern day

Double suites sleep two people each (double or two singles). The family
suite sleeps two people (double or two singles) downstairs, and two
children (singles) in the open loft. The executive suite sleeps two
people and has its own lounge, patio and boma, neatly situated away
from all the other suites for that extra bit of privacy. All the suites
are fully air-conditioned.
The lodge sleeps a
maximum of 10 guests including children. Each spacious
thatched suite has its own modern en-suite bathroom which includes a
double basin, enclosed shower, bath, toilet and private outdoor shower
under the African skies.
Linen, towels and amenities are provided, and all areas are cleaned
once daily, with high touch surfaces in common areas cleaned twice
daily.
You will also find a complimentary tea/ coffee station, mini bar fridge
and a safe in each suite..
All our lodges include well-appointed stone and thatch double suites
consisting of a spacious bedroom with king-sized bed, lounge area with
tea and coffee station and mini bar fridge. The luxurious en-suite
bathroom has a shower and large stone bath. Most of the suites have a
large open outside shower under the African Sky.
Some lodges also offer one or two spacious and comfortable stone and
thatch family suites consisting of an open-plan bedroom and seating
area with loft. With a king-sized bed downstairs and 2 single beds in
the loft this is ideal for a family with two children under 12 years
old. The modern en-suite bathroom has a shower, bath and double basin.
In the seating area is a mini bar fridge with tea and coffee station.
Most of the family suites have a large open outside shower under the
African Sky. Baby cots are available on request.
The luxurious Morokolo Executive Suite is made up of 1 x executive
suite.
The executive suite sleeps two people and has its own kitchen, lounge,
patio and boma braai area, neatly situated away from all the other
suites for that extra bit of privacy.

Elephant, buffalo and a variety of antelope often roam in this area as
they take shelter in remote areas not accessible to other visitors to
Pilanesberg National Park. Characterised by a beautiful forest of
Tamboti trees and occasional sightings of the bad tempered Black Rhino,
the Black Rhino Reserve is home to the BIG 5 (Lion, Leopard, Buffalo,
Elephant, White & Black Rhino) as well as a wide variety of
antelope species (including Sable, Tsetsebe, Eland, Kudu and Springbok)
and the rare sightings of wild dog.
With a species list of over 354, the Black Rhino Reserve is also a true
"birders paradise".
The main lodge building with its lounge area comes fully fitted with HD
TV, DSTV, DVD player, a bar and pool table for your entertainment.

boardroom conference table that seats up to 12 delegates.
A data projector is available as part of the conference
package, as well as tea and coffee, snacks, writing equipment and
