The entire lodge lies in an exclusive use zone in the south-western portion of the 55,000ha, "Big 5" and malaria free Pilanesberg Game Reserve. It offers exclusive traversing as well as access to all the Park’s public roads. The lodge also lies adjacent to the Wilderness Area offering the opportunity of walking trails in this untouched environment. By acquiring a share in the lodge, shareholders will enjoy exclusivity and privacy in a truly spectacular and intimate 5 star luxury setting for a period of 40 years.

Get the real feel for the African bushveld by going on a morning or evening game drive. Driving in an open safari vehicle, along with a qualified guide – experience the Big 5 territory of the Pilanesberg Game Reserve.
Please Note: No children under the age of 6 allowed on game drives.

SHEPHERD'S TREE GAME LODGE - LOCATION
Shepherd’s Tree Game Lodge is located in the North West province, approximately 2.5 hours drive from Johannesburg. Situated in a private concession within the Pilanesberg National Park, our malaria-free property is host to a wide variety of mammals and bird species found in the Big 5.

All rates quoted include 15% VAT
All rates for South African properties include a 1% South African tourism development levy
Check in time is from 14h00 and check out time is by 10h00 at all aha properties.
Game Lodges
Policy:
- Children: 0 - 5 years of age
- Stay free of charge only when sharing with two full paying adults, meals charged on consumption
- Children: 6 - 11 years of age
- Pay 50% of the adult sharing rate when sharing with two full paying adults Full adult rate applicable if occupying their own room
- Children: 12 years & older
- Occupy their own room and pay full adult rate
- Where a child shares with 1 adult the adult sharing rate applies.
- Children under the age of 12 years will be accommodated on special children's game drives. This is subject to availability and at the discretion of the lodge manager.

CANCELLATION POLICY
If a booking is cancelled after confirmation, a 20%
cancellation fee will apply.
- 60 – 30 days prior to arrival 50%
- 29 – 15 days prior to arrival 75%
- 14- 1 days prior to arrival 100%
- Refunds where agreed are subject to a 10% administration fee.
- Cancellations will only be accepted in writing
Deposit Policy
For all bookings made within 30 days of travel
Full payment Is required within 48 hours of your booking.
This payment can be made via bank transfer or credit card
(Master/Visa).

A 50% deposit Is required within 48 hours of your booking
and the balance 30 days prior to arrival. This payment can be made via
bank transfer or credit card (Master/Visa).
Standard Room: Maximum of 2 adults
Family Suites: Maximum of 4 adults and 2 children under
the age of 12
Executive Suites: Maximum of 2 adults and 1 child under
the age of 6
Villa: Includes private villa unit with private pool,
private vehicle, lounge and boma as well as butler service. Private
meals must be arranged in advanced and will be charged additionally.
Babysitting
facilities are offered at
R300 per hour (maximun 2 children)
Children between the ages of 6 and 12 are permitted on safari at the
sole discretion of the manager or guide.
Children under the age
of 6 are not permitted on game drives.
Sole use vehicle is available to facilitate families at an additional
cost of R5 820 per
vehicle per game drive.
- Leave Johannesburg driving past Lanseria Airport towards Hartebeespoort Dam (suggested routes either William Nicol or Malibongwe roadways)
- At the T-junction of Broederstroom (fruit stall in front of you ) turn left
- Follow signs to Sun City turning right taking the bridge over the dam
- At stop street turn right
- At 4 way stop turn left (takes you past Chameleon Village) and once again follow Sun City signs taking you onto the N4
- Once on the N4 Toll road, take the 1st off ramp for Pilansberg / Sun City
- Turn right over the Highway continuing as though traveling to Sun City (+/- 80km) going through at least 4 4-way stops.
- Continue past Sun City entrance and Bakubung Gate turn-off and proceed to the 4-way stop.
- Turn right onto the R565 and proceed for 12km to the Shepherd’s Tree Game Lodge entrance
- Leave Pretoria take church street towards Attredgeville towards Hartebeespoort Dam
- At the four ways stop turn right towards Hartebeespoort dam.
- Drive through the tunnel at Hartebeespoort dam.
- At 4 way stop proceed straight (takes you past Chameleon Village ) and once again follow Sun City signs taking you onto the N4.
- Once on the N4 Toll road, take the 1st off ramp for Pilanesberg/Sun City, exit number 225.
- Turn right over the Highway continuing as though traveling to Sun City (+/- 80km) going through at least 4 4-way stops
- Continue straight past Sun City entrance and Bakubung Gate turn-off, and proceed to the 4 way stop.
- Turn right and proceed along the road for 12km to the Shepherd’s Tree Game Lodge entrance on the right hand side.
