Bakubung Villas

All villas are self-catering, the rate includes daily housekeeping services.
All villa guests have access to Bakubung Lodge facilities such as restaurants, bar, spa, gym, recreational facilities at no additional cost.
You are able to dine by curating your own food experiences in the well-equipped kitchens, or through Marula Grill Restaurant onsite.
We do also offer a private chef service on request, who is available to create breakfast, lunch, and dinner meal options. Please enquire about available menu items. Private chef services need to be booked seven days prior to arrival.
There is also a Boma dinner hosted by Bakubung Bush Lodge at their boma site inside the Pilanesberg National Park on Saturday evenings. This is weather dependent and subject to availability and pre-booking.
Boma dinner costs are R per adult, R for kids aged 6-12yrs and R for teens between the ages of 13-17yrs.

DIRECTIONS FROM FOURWAYS, SANDTON

• Travel north along William Nicol Drive to the four-way intersection with Witkoppen Road
• Turn left into Witkoppen Road towards Lanseria/Roodepoort
• Turn right at the intersection with Hans Strijdom Extension on the road towards Broederstroom and Lanseria
• Cross over the Muldersdrift/ Diepsloot Road and continue with the R512 towards Broederstroom and Lanseria
• Cross the bridge over the R28 Krugersdorp/Pretoria highway, pass the Lanseria turnoff and continue straight ahead
• At the T-junction turn left on the R512 to Magaliesberg. Follow directional signs
• Continue on this road until you see the Sun City signboard on your left. Turn right on the R512 to Brits and cross the bridge over Hartebeespoort Dam
• At the T-junction turn right on the R512 to Brits
• Continue to the four-way stop and turn left on the R512/27 for Brits/Rustenburg
• Pass the first Brits turnoff. At the signpost R27 Rustenburg/Brits turn right
• On the bridge turn left towards Rustenburg
• Continue until you get to the slipway to the left. Take the slipway and continue on the new N4 highway
• A signboard on the left side of the road indicates Pilanesberg to the left on route 91. Exit left off the highway. At the T-junction turn right and continue on this road to Sun City
• On reaching Sun City, go straight past the Zenex garage on your right, after 4km you will see a sign indicating you to turn right to
• Bakubung, follow the road and it will lead you to the Bakubung Gate

Game Drives:
Game drives are available daily on open game drive vehicles to explore the Pilanesberg National Park spanning over 55 000 hectares of rolling plains, In addition to cheetah, giraffe, antelope and hyena - to name a few - you will be enthralled by Africa's famous Big Five in their natural habitat. 

Game drives depart early morning and late afternoon into the picturesque Pilanesberg National Park. Departure times differ throughout the year according to the season. Game Drives last approximately 3-4 hours, depending on weather conditions and animal sightings in the Park.

Game Drive Times

Wildlife activities and game drives:

Morning Drive – 3 hours duration, early departure in summer, returning in time for a late breakfast. Departs at 08h00 during the winter months.
Afternoon Drive – 3 hours duration with a stop in the reserve for sundowners. Game is viewed by spotlight on the return journey.
Night Drive – Only during the summer months, departing early evening & providing viewing of some of the nocturnal species found in the park.
Game Drive / Bush Braai – Following a normal afternoon drive, guests are taken directly to our Bush Boma in the Park where they will enjoy a traditional dinner under the stars before returning to the Lodge.
Game walk – Guided walks within the Park accompanied by an armed Field Guide.
Wildlife Centre – Housing a mini theatre showing wildlife movies and an array of interesting displays. Field Guides in attendance to answer questions.
Star Gazing evenings – Held once per week. Viewing the bodies comprising our solar system with the aid of a telescope. Assisted by a trained Field Guide.

• Private / Sole Use game drives can be reserved at the Game Department in a 10-seater Game Vehicle.

TERMS & CONDITIONS

• All rates are quoted in ZAR and include Value Added Tax (VAT) at the prevailing rate.
• Check-in time is from 14h00, and the rooms should be vacated by 10h00.
• Due to the immigration Act no.19 of 2004, positive personal identification will be required to be presented upon check-in. A valid passport or ID document will be acceptable.
• A refundable breakage deposit of R5 000.00 will be required upon check-in.
• The Hotel reserves the right to cancel any bookings where 50% or full payment is not received within 7 days of making the booking. 
• Any pricing which includes a component of third-party charges (i.e., Airport Transfers, National Park Fees etc.) may be charged without notice, should this component be increased.
• Credit/Debit cards that are used to make payment must be presented upon check-in at the Hotel.
• Minimum stay restrictions may apply dependent on demand.
• All rates include complimentary internet access.
• The above rates exclude tourism levy, which is in place or may be imposed in the future.
• Legacy Hotels & Resorts reserves the right to amend quoted tariffs in its sole discretion should there be any changes in the above, which are beyond the reasonable control of Legacy Hotels & Resorts and has a material impact on the business of Legacy Hotels & Resorts.    

Deposit Policy:

• For all bookings made within 30 days of travel
• Full payment Is required within 48 hours of your booking. This payment can be made via bank transfer or credit card (Master/Visa).
• Morning Game Drives For all bookings made more than 30 days of travel
• A 50% deposit Is required within 48 hours of your booking and the balance 30 days prior to arrival. This payment can be made via bank transfer or credit card (Master/Visa).

Cancellation Policy

• If the reservation is cancelled less than 14 days prior to arrival a 50% cancellation fee will apply.
• If cancelled 7 days or less prior to arrival a 100% cancellation fee will apply.
• A 10% admin fee will be retained for cancellations made after the card has been charged.

Junior Rangers

Legacy Junior Rangers Programme is available for all children aged 6-12 years. Activities are geared around natural resource protection, environmental education and responsible recreation offering a special opportunity to explore the Pilanesberg National Park. The Junior Rangers Program is available at a small additional cost to parents and usually takes 2 days to complete. On completion of the program, children will be including in a graduation ceremony and will be given a certificate and badges for activities completed.
